A couple of weeks ago we told you that Google has been making a big fuss about telling you to “Ask More” from your phone on October 4. Well that day is here and the event, being held in Boston, will being many big announcements.  Google’s event comes about 3 weeks after Apple announce the iPhone X. It is widely expected that Google will announce its much-anticipated Pixel 2 phones today. The announcement will put to rest the seemingly endless rumors about what the device is like. We finally get to find out which of the leaks are accurate, and which are bunk. And, that all important question will be answered as well, will it have a headphone jack?

Also expected today are the newest Google Home, to compete with Amazon’s Echo, the new line of which was announced last week. It is also rumored that a new laptop will be announced. The “pixelbook”,  may be being positioned to compete with Microsoft Surface. I am starting to become cautiously excited about what Google has in store for us. After I found Apples event last week, less than awe-inspiring, I am really hoping for something big here.

I can’t be in Boston, not that I am invited anyway, I will However be keeping up with the event. If you are in the same situation, you can watch the live stream on YouTube (which you can also watch below starting at Noon, Eastern Time) Also, Gizmodo, a much more serious website than our own will be live blogging the event
